Free the innocent and stop wrongful conviction

To President Obama

America, we have a problem.  Over 3,000,000 innocent people are in prison.

Why are they there?

1.     The justice system is unjust.

2.     The poor and minorities can not afford competent defense attorneys.

3.     Many public defenders are incompetent.

4.     Many public defenders work for the government and help the prosecution.

5.     Many prosecutors don’t seek justice but seek guilty verdicts even when they know the defendant is innocent.

6.     Many police plant evidence.

7.     Many police, prosecutors and/or child protective agencies convince, coach or threaten witnesses to lie.

8.     Many judges are corrupt or incompetent.

9.     Jail house snitches lie to get out so they can go back to their life of crime.

10. Evidence is lost or not mentioned in the trial.

11. The guilty person testifies to convict the innocent person.

There are many other problems with our system and most people either don’t care or don’t know.

What can be done?

1.     A special prosecutor is needed to head an investigation of the system.

2.     Those who plant evidence must be prosecuted and imprisoned.

3.     Prosecutors, police and judges must be prosecuted and imprisoned when they knowingly cause the conviction of innocent people.

4.     Incompetent attorneys must be disbarred.

5.     Attorneys who work with the prosecutors to convict the defendants must be prosecuted and imprisoned.

6.     A separate court system should be set up for the innocent.

7.     An independent investigation and defence system should be set up.

8.     New DNA testing should be done for all prisoners who may be innocent at no cost.  (It now cost $600.00)

A few years ago the Innocent Protection Act was passed.  It was a start and many on death row were proven innocent.  It should apply to all inmates.

The amount of corruption in our system is staggering and something has to be done.  Our system of justice needs a complete overhaul.  Innocent prisoner must be freed.  If you are poor and/or a minority you may be wrongfully imprisoned.  If you make a policeman, prosecutor or judge unhappy you may be convicted of a crime you did not commit.

Mr. President, you are our only hope.

Please write your federal and state representatives and ask them to do something.

I am writing to you in reference to injustice in the system in Kentucky. The corruption is bad especially in one area. The trooper and prosecutor are allowing lies to be told and there is nothing being done. This is sad for us all when the system fails and corruption takes over.
