Prison is a Man Made Hell

Prison is a Man Made Hell

Prison is a Man Made Hell

To President Obama

Our prison system is a disgrace. It is probably one of the world’s worst.

Guards beat and murder prisoners. They allow and sometimes have prisoners kill other prisoners. The private prisons are the worst. Many prisons contract with outside companies for medical service which is poor and would be full of malpractice suits on the outside. Food services are also contracted out to companies that deliver poor quality food.

Prisoners are warehoused and used as slave labor. There is very little training for those who will get out. Rehabilitation is a bad word because the people who run the prisons make money on prisoners. Guards will charge prisoners with offences they did not commit.

80% of the inmates will get out someday. It is the job of the prisons to prepare them for the outside world and see that they are employable. Something must be done to help them find work when they get out. There used to be a tax credit for hiring parolees.

One way to lower the crime rate is to let prepare the prisoners for the outside world. Prisoners come back because they are not prepared and can not find a job.

Prisons are also warehouses for the mentally ill. The states let mentally ill patients out of the hospitals and gave them medication. Many do not take the medication and end up homeless or in prison. I know of a case where a schizophrenic inmate was told if he took his meds he would not get parole.

Prisoners are raped by other prisoners. I know of a case where a young prisoner was raped and the rapist was not punished but the victim was sent to the hole. He has been raped many times since and the guards call him a fagot.

All you have to do is use google. Key words are innocent, wrongful convictions, prison abuse, prison condition, death penalty and Mentally ill in prison. Your eyes will be opened.

I am surprised that the ASPCA does not act. Prisoners are treated worse than the puppies in the puppy mills.

Yes there are prisons that are like country clubs. They are for the weathy and politicians.

Most prisoners are not in heaven but they are in hell.

Stop wrongful convictions and free the innocent

Execution is murder by the government

Free the innocent and stop wrongful conviction

To President Obama

America, we have a problem.  Over 3,000,000 innocent people are in prison.

Why are they there?

1.     The justice system is unjust.

2.     The poor and minorities can not afford competent defense attorneys.

3.     Many public defenders are incompetent.

4.     Many public defenders work for the government and help the prosecution.

5.     Many prosecutors don’t seek justice but seek guilty verdicts even when they know the defendant is innocent.

6.     Many police plant evidence.

7.     Many police, prosecutors and/or child protective agencies convince, coach or threaten witnesses to lie.

8.     Many judges are corrupt or incompetent.

9.     Jail house snitches lie to get out so they can go back to their life of crime.

10. Evidence is lost or not mentioned in the trial.

11. The guilty person testifies to convict the innocent person.

There are many other problems with our system and most people either don’t care or don’t know.

What can be done?

1.     A special prosecutor is needed to head an investigation of the system.

2.     Those who plant evidence must be prosecuted and imprisoned.

3.     Prosecutors, police and judges must be prosecuted and imprisoned when they knowingly cause the conviction of innocent people.

4.     Incompetent attorneys must be disbarred.

5.     Attorneys who work with the prosecutors to convict the defendants must be prosecuted and imprisoned.

6.     A separate court system should be set up for the innocent.

7.     An independent investigation and defence system should be set up.

8.     New DNA testing should be done for all prisoners who may be innocent at no cost.  (It now cost $600.00)

A few years ago the Innocent Protection Act was passed.  It was a start and many on death row were proven innocent.  It should apply to all inmates.

The amount of corruption in our system is staggering and something has to be done.  Our system of justice needs a complete overhaul.  Innocent prisoner must be freed.  If you are poor and/or a minority you may be wrongfully imprisoned.  If you make a policeman, prosecutor or judge unhappy you may be convicted of a crime you did not commit.

Mr. President, you are our only hope.

Please write your federal and state representatives and ask them to do something.

Execution is murder by the government

To President Obama:

The Death penalty is a disgrace.  The United States is one of few countries that have the death penalty.  It is supposed to be a civilized country but civilized countries do not murder people.  Execution is murder by the Government.  I have not seen anything in the Ten Commandments that says thou shalt not kill unless you are a Government.

Yes murder is one of the worst crimes that are committed and those who commit murder must go to prison for as long as they are a threat to society.  How do you send the government to prison?

Here are some reasons to abolish the death penalty.

  1. Many innocent people are executed.
  2. By the time a prisoner is executed he or she is not the same person who committed murder.
  3. “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord.”
  4. It cost more than life in prison.
  5. It does not lower the murder rate.  The person who kills does not think about the death penalty when they kill for the first time.  After the first time they feel they have nothing to lose so it is easier for them to kill in order not to be caught.
  6. Many of the serial killers probably want the death penalty.  The feel that they will be remembered.
  7. In some cases life in prison is worse than death.
  8. The death penalty does not bring the victim back.
  9. The death penalty is a sentence for the poor and minorities.
  10. Our legal system is too unjust to allow the death penalty.

President Obama, please commute the sentences of all people on death row to life in prison.  Please ask Congress to abolish the Death Penalty not only on the federal level but on the state level also.  Please contact the Governors of the states with the death penalty and ask them to abolish it.

Please sign this petition and write you congressmen and women asking them to abolish the death penalty.

In Memory of Hasan Baz'il Shakur

In Memory of

Hasan Baz'il Shakur

Murdered by the Good Old Boys of Texas 8/31/2006

In 2002 I wrote a letter to Hasan.  He answered and I was impressed by this young man’s intelligence and wisdom.  I feel that a great man was murdered by the State of Texas on August 31, 2006.  He was only 29.

I had lost contact with the prisoners on the website for the last 3 years because of my health problems.  Recently I got back into the fight for Justice.  A few days ago I found that Hasan was murdered. Yes, I said murdered.  Capital punishment is murder by government.  For those of you who believe in the 10 Commandments, how can you agree with capital punishment?  Does the commandment say though shalt not kill unless you are the government?  No it doesn’t exempt the government.  I hear people say an eye for an eye__________a life for a life.  The Ten Commandments supersedes that idea.

I'm willing to bet that over 15% of those executed are innocent.  I am sure that Hasan was.

For those of you who are for the death penalty it is normally for revenge.  Stop and think.  What can be worst than death?  Life in prison.  Serial killers, rapist and pedophiles can look forward to a living hell until they are killed by another prisoner.

Hasan was a good man wrongfully accused, convicted and executed.

This is a part of his letter to me in 2002.

I have been incarcerated for 5 years on this case.  I am only 25 years of age and have been doing this for a few years but took it seriously and took mown direction just a year ago.  I just got tired of people complaining button even attempting to offer any avenue of solution! Why complain if you choose not doing anything?  My motto: Do something or shut up!  That is my motto and basically I stick to it.  In this situation it is that I am in, it is very hard to do certain things without being taken as a militant of anti-American of something of that nature.  I am African, Muslim, Young and look like the late Tupac!  I suppose to not be of conscious mind like I am but I refuse to be stereotyped into this or that category at all.  I come from a hard background and have had my share of loss.

Hasan is not dead, only his body is dead.  His soul lives on and I am sure he is helping those who met his fate.  He is free.
